Personal desktop integration

Codex Search Console MCP

This integration connects Codex Desktop to the Google Search Console API through the open-source mcp-search-console server. It runs on the user's computer and uses a Google desktop OAuth sign-in to access the Search Console properties available to that Google account.

What it does

The integration can list properties, inspect URLs, retrieve search performance and indexing information, and read sitemaps. It also includes property and sitemap management tools. Those changes require an explicit, action-specific request in Codex.

Google requests the Search Console read/write permission so that both the reporting and management tools can work. The website you are reading does not host the MCP server, receive Google credentials, or perform the OAuth sign-in.

Data and control

OAuth credentials and tokens are stored locally on the user's device. Search Console results requested through Codex are supplied to Codex to answer the user's request. Read the privacy policy for the data handled by this integration and the use terms.
